HomeLog Privacy Policy
HomeLog is a mobile app that helps you keep track of home items, related documents, and local reminders. This policy explains what information HomeLog handles and how it is stored.
This page is written in plain language for store listing and user clarity. It is not legal advice.
1. What HomeLog is
HomeLog lets you record home items on your device, attach documents or files to those items, set local reminders, and create user-controlled backups or exports. It is designed to work local-first and offline-first.
2. Local-only storage
HomeLog stores your data on your device. Your home items, notes, documents, reminder settings, and related app data remain in local storage on the phone or tablet where you use the app.
3. No account and no login
HomeLog does not require an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile managed by HomeLog.
4. No backend and no cloud sync
HomeLog does not operate a HomeLog backend for your content. The current version does not provide cloud sync of your home data between devices.
5. No analytics or tracking by HomeLog
HomeLog does not include HomeLog analytics, advertising trackers, or usage-tracking SDKs that send your app activity to HomeLog.
Apple App Store and Google Play may process purchase and store information under their own policies when you buy or restore Premium.
6. Attachments stored on your device
If you attach documents or files to an item, those files are stored locally on your device with your HomeLog data. HomeLog does not upload those attachments to a HomeLog server.
Camera capture and photo library features are not currently used in HomeLog.
7. Local notifications for reminders
If you create reminders, HomeLog may schedule local notifications on your device so you can be reminded at the times you choose. These reminders are managed on-device. HomeLog does not send reminder content through a HomeLog cloud service.
8. Backup, export, and restore
Backup, export, and restore are user-controlled. When you choose to create a backup or export, or to restore from a file you select, HomeLog uses local and/or system share and file-picker flows that you initiate. HomeLog does not automatically upload backups to a HomeLog cloud service.
You decide where shared or saved backup/export files go (for example, another app, Files, email, or a location you choose). Those destinations are outside HomeLog and follow their own privacy practices.
9. Purchases
Premium unlock is a one-time in-app purchase handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. HomeLog does not collect your payment card details. Purchase processing is handled by Apple or Google under their terms and privacy policies.
After a successful purchase or restore, HomeLog keeps a local entitlement on your device so Premium features can unlock. HomeLog does not run its own receipt-validation backend.
10. No AI, OCR, or automatic enrichment
HomeLog does not use AI, OCR, image recognition, or automatic content enrichment on your data.
11. How to delete your data
You can remove HomeLog data by:
- Deleting individual records or attachments inside the app, where available
- Deleting any backup or export files you previously saved or shared outside the app
- Uninstalling HomeLog, which removes the app and its on-device app data from that device
Uninstalling HomeLog does not remove copies that already exist outside the app, such as shared backups, exported files, or OS/device backups. Those copies remain until you delete them yourself in the place they were saved.
Because HomeLog does not host your content on a HomeLog server, there is no HomeLog cloud account data to request for deletion.
