FAQ

Where is my data stored?

On your device. Home items, attachments, reminders, and related app data are stored locally in HomeLog’s on-device storage.

Do I need an account?

No. HomeLog does not use accounts or login.

Does HomeLog use cloud sync?

No. The current version does not sync your home data to a HomeLog cloud service or between devices automatically.

How do backups work?

In the current version, Backup, Export, and Restore are Premium features. When unlocked, you start the action in the app, then use local and/or system share or file-picker flows to save, share, or choose a file. HomeLog does not automatically upload backups to a HomeLog server.

Keep copies of any backup or export files you create in a place you control, because those files are outside the app once shared or saved.

How do reminders work?

Reminders are created in the app and scheduled as local notifications on your device. Reminder content is not sent through a HomeLog cloud notification service.

How do I unlock Premium?

Premium is a one-time unlock purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play (product ID: homelog_premium_unlock). Payment is handled by Apple or Google. HomeLog does not collect your card details.

How do I restore purchases?

Use the Restore Purchases option in HomeLog (Settings → Premium). The app asks Apple or Google to restore your previous purchase and then unlocks Premium locally on that device when the store confirms it.

How do I delete my data?

You can:

Uninstalling HomeLog does not remove copies that already exist outside the app, such as shared backups, exported files, or OS/device backups. Delete those copies separately where they were saved.

Because HomeLog does not host your content on a HomeLog server, there is no HomeLog cloud account to delete.
